Supporting Northern Rivers residents to reach their goals.
Empowering Potential: Our Scholarship Program
At the Seaton Foundation, we know that sometimes a small amount of financial support can be the bridge between a dream and a reality. Our Scholarship Program is designed specifically for individuals and small groups in our community who have been invited to participate in a recognised event, but face financial barriers. We want to ensure that financial hurdles don't stand in the way of you showing up, stepping up, and participating.
Eligibility Criteria
Whether you’ve been selected for a state-level sports competition, invited to a national youth leadership forum, or accepted into a specialised educational programme, we’re here to help make sure you don't miss out.
We want to make this process as straightforward as possible. To be considered for a scholarship, there are just three main things we look for:
Your Location: You or your group must be based right here in the Northern Rivers region of NSW.
The Event: You must have a confirmed place in a recognised or organised event, competition, or educational programme.
Financial Need: Our funds are limited, so we prioritise those who can show that the cost of participating would cause genuine financial hardship.
How to Apply
You don’t need to be a professional grant writer to apply for this scholarship—we want to hear your story in your own words. To complete your application, you will just need to provide three things:
A Personal Declaration
A short, simple statement from you outlining your goals and explaining why this assistance is important for you to be able to participate.
Supportive Referees
The names and contact details of two people who can vouch for your dedication and need (e.g., a coach, teacher, or community leader).
An Auspice Partner
Due to regulatory and tax requirements, we are unable to distribute funds directly to individuals. Instead, grants are managed through a registered non-profit (DGR1) organisation acting as an auspice partner.*
*Don't worry if you don't have one—many local sports clubs or community centers can act as your partner. If you’re unsure, please reach out to us.
