Strategic Focus Grants
This pathway focuses funding on selected Focus Areas identified each year. It supports initiatives that align closely with the selected priority and provide a clear, considered response to community needs in that area. The priority area is announced when the round opens.
Funding available
Up to $50,000 is allocated annually for Strategic Focus grants. There is no set minimum or maximum grant size; funding amounts are flexible and vary depending on the scope of the project and its alignment with the yearly priority. We welcome budgets tailored to the specific resources your initiative needs to succeed.
Key Dates and Application process
When to apply: Applications open each April for a four-week period. Check our homepage for exact date
How to apply: Submit a full application via our website during the open window.
What to expect: We may contact you for additional details. The review process typically takes around eight weeks from the closing date to final notification.

Our inaugural grant round
What a way to begin! Our very first strategic grant round has officially wrapped, and we are absolutely thrilled by the response.
The Seaton Foundation’s strategic focus will evolve and shift to target different regional needs each year. We dedicated our 2025/2026 Inaugural Round to a critical frontline challenge: Food Security.
We set out to back practical, direct-impact initiatives that get healthy meals to tables, break down barriers to food access, and resource the grassroots groups doing the heavy lifting.
